More and more

I guess you are already bored with my tins but here are a few more. I just love orange and it seems that people loved it in the fiftie´s and sixtie´s, too.

Are you just pulling my leg?

Everyone who does anything in a muddy yard needs a boot pull. We found one in a flea market today. The pull cost all of 5 euros and even though our usual style is not very rock'n roll we still liked it for our steps in Vårkulla.

My head is spinning

Old (metal) toys are lovely. Even if you don't play with them anymore, they remind you of a wonderful carefree time. I guess the kids of today will get sentimental when they'll see an iPhone 6 but for me, an old spinning top does the thing.

Romantic dreams

The root clippings of peonies don't look much but you just wait and see! Come summer, these will provide the most romantic flowers ever, pink and white and fluffy. Or not...you never know with root clippings, it might go all wrong and the roots will wither and die. But at the moment I am hopeful...

Incredibly green

You gotta love poppies! Never mind if it is below zero during the nights, the poppies just keep on growing.

Just saying hello

We have several old globes and decided to paint one of them with black chalkboard paint. My husband first soaked off the paper (map) and after the globe had dried he painted the globe without priming it first. This globe is plastic and the finnish was perfect with only one coat of paint.  Thanks to google we found several translations for the word hello - and my husband wrote the words on the globe roughly where the language is spoken. Neat, eh?

Things you forget

As there is no snow anymore and it is rather warm when the sun shines, we put our garden furniture out today. I also put out all my garden decorations and flower pots. I had no idea that I had so many pots! At the moment only lilacs survive outside so the pots will stay empty for a while. When the summer really starts, I am gonna get pelargoniums, maybe some fuchsias and some summer hydragenias.
