I found the perfect egg cups at last. It is a shame that they are not in shops yet and I have to wait for a month to get these porcelain Alessi beauties by Marcel Wanders (photo by Alessi).

Buy them yourself
Nobody seems to send postcards any more. Well, no matter, I just went and bought some myself. And I hung some Easter eggs with them.

Hay again!
I found the most beautiful ball point pen ever. The ballograf pen is from Hay and I just had to have it for my desk.

You have five minutes!
This is a great tool to measure five minutes. Most useful when having a relaxing weekend in the country or what do you think?

Pretty but fragile
This plaster Easter decoration seems a bit fragile. But as the previous owner has kept it unbroken for many years, maybe I can manage to do the same..

Bunnies everywhere
Now they even hang from the doors, the Easter decorations. I guess I have to create some summer decorations, too, as the time from Easter to Christmas is too long without any decoration schemes.

Real but looks fake
Colourful (real) carnations look like fakes...It is almost impossible to believe that the nature can come up with colours like these. In addition to wonderful colour, the carnations take forever to die. You can have them for weeks and they still look great.

Good ol' banks
Do you still remember SYP, KOP and STS banks? I used to be a customer of KOP and now I am a more or less faithful customer of Nordea. I faintly remember that KOP changed to Merita that changed to Nordea...Anyhow, we found these two cute SYP cups from a flea market and even if I never was a SYP customer, I like the logo design and felt quite nostalgic when I saw these.

Just to remind you
You do know why we celebrate Easter, don't you? I tend to buy Easter decorations with bunnies and chicks but this religious one looks just great and somehow it seems to fitting to have at least one religious ornament for Easter.

Minty flavor
I bought a mint plant from Lidl as I needed to have something green for my pink pot on the living room table. The mint brings a spring flavor to my Easter decoration.

How many is too many?
I love Easter eggs and have lots of them. And as Easter is already around the corner (isn't it?), I decided to put them all out already. Here is a small sample.

Dance with me
Klaus Haapaniemi did it again! He created a new series for Iittala: Tanssi (Dance). And of course I just love it. As I can't buy the whole tableware serie (I already have three Iittala series), I just bought the metal tin. We have collected old tins and I thought we might as well buy some new ones.

Candles, for a change
I have to rave about candle light before it gets too light in the evenings. We found these iron holders a couple of weeks ago and they are perfect for the old glass bottles. One of our old movie posters found a new place on the floor as we rearranged the furniture in the living room and it didn't have room on the wall because of the new curtains.

Dark enough
It is getting lighter every day but it is still dark enough to enjoy candlelight. And the candlelight is not even enough, we use Marset's Follow me lamp (linkki Marset) as an additional light source. Note: we painted the handle of the lamp to dark brown as neither of us likes light wood.

I wish it were for real
It would be lovely to have a really big bedroom! The camera lens makes believe, in reality the room is much smaller.

Draw the curtains
We wanted curtains in the middle of the room to give some privacy for overnight guests and to soften the room. We found the perfect 40's style cloth at Eurokangas. We were very lucky as they offered free sewing of the seams that week. If we had made the curtains ourselves, we'd had too short/too long/too crooked curtains and our marriage might have ended there and then, in the shadow of the sewing machine. But as it is, we are very happy with the result. The only thing still missing are dark red tassels to hold the curtains when not in use as a divider. The search starts..if you know where I can find these, let me know!
